Protect our TIGER NOW...

A Malayan Tiger, Zoo Negara Malaysia 2010

This is my previous blog post that related to TIGER, 可怜森林王... feel free to click and read it..

Before I start, I have one news want to share with you all, please have a look on this news M'sian zoo hires out wild animals , it's really GET MY SHIRT OUT! What is your opinion after reading this news? Our Zoos have do their work to protect the tiger properly? It's food for thought...

I don't have much to say towards the news above, I just hope you all can know what is happening now and realise that, we should do something in order to protect the lovely animals in the world, particularly THE TIGER...

Some Introductions...
In the past, the tiger's range was widespread in Asia, from the Caucasus and the Caspian Sea to Siberia and Indonesia, of course our beloved country--Malaysia, is also one of the countries that can find wild tiger. But sad to say, because of the rapidly development of our country, the number of tiger in our country has been decreased dramatically and this phenomena is not only occur in Malaysia but all of the countries.

Tiger is the biggest "cat" in mainland, and is a symbol of courage to many of the ethnics in Asia, especially for Chinese. Chinese always called a tiger as "森林之王" a.k.a King of the Jungle, but nowadays the King of the Jungle is lives in an extremely dangerous condition, because of the human greediness, because of the skins of tiger can be sold in a very high price, and there is high demand of tiger meat in many countries, tiger is not a King anymore. Poachers are keep killing the wild tiger for their own sakes, thus the number of tiger in wild is keep reducing. IF WE ARE STILL NOT CONCERN ABOUT IT CONTINUOUSLY, tiger will extinct in the next few years.

Some Truth...
In Malaysia, there were 3000 tigers in the wild at 1950s, and researchers believe that, now we (Malaysia) have only 500 tigers (I think this number including all those tigers in Zoos, Theme parks as well as wildlife) and it might be much more lesser than that. To make it worse, according to the officers from Johor National Park, there are only 25 wild tigers in the Penisular Malaysia and most of the tiger is living in Kelatan, Perak and Terrengganu. There is no tiger in Johor now (except for the zoos) and the whole Malaysia (maybe) in the future, if we all are indifferent to this matter.

Somethings to Ponder...
NOTHGING GREAT WAS EVER ACHIEVED WITHOUT ENTHUSIASM...

If we don't have the "heart" to protect the tiger (as well as other animals), then next generation will not able to see this/these beautiful creature/creatures ANYMORE!

Tomorrow is the World Earth Day, The official Website is Earthday 2010 , have a look on it and start to protect our environment, our animals RIGHT NOW...
